Pedometers

Does any one have a favourite pedometer that they would recommend - nothing too expensive and one that does not "cheat" - ie count a step when you move in your chair in front of the TV?
thanks

I got given a Yamax free with the 10,000 Steps programme I did last year, and I've found it pretty good (at least when I remember to wear it - they haven't made one yet that manages to count my steps when I forget to put it on!)

I was given one when I did a walking challenge through the Drs. Its great as it has a eye on it where I can put a safety strap on it. I brought one, and it was good but I couldn't put a safety strap on it, and it only lasted for 10 days. Mine falls off all the time. Not sure on the cheating of it though. :)

Hi Trina

The Yamax one is very good. I have had two that have lasted ages. I bought one and the other I got from doing 10000 Steps A Day Programme - gosh about 4 years ago and still going well. Being a real geek one day ... I wore them both at once for a big walk to check their accuracy and both were spot on ... ! You can Google and find lots of reviews but here's a link for you:

I am currently using the Weightwatchers one and it's great as it counts pounts ... good for the days I'm being 'all round good .... which isn't that often of late! Here it is:

Enjoy your pedometer walks!
