Mangaiti Walkway

- Access points from Hukanui Road, Helmsdale Court and Ashmore Court.
- Description
There are two sections to this walkway. They are the beginning of what will be an extensive boardwalk system.
Section one descends from Hukanui Road to follow the Onukutara Stream as it meanders through shaded glades before rejoining Hukanui Road.
Section two forks from section one near Hukanui Road to follow an easy going board walk that links with the residential areas of Helmsdale and Ashcroft Courts. The contour is flat with steeper approaches from both Hukanui Road access points. Also from Helmsdale Court and Ashmore Court.
The surface is boardwalk with some concrete pavers and grass. Special attractions are the Onukutara Stream and the native plantings. Street parking is available.
Walk times vary depending on exit points and where to from there. As a guide walk times are as follows :
Hukanui Road entrance to Helmsdale Crescent – 7 minutes
Hukanui Road to Ashmore Crescent – 5 minutes
and Hukanui Road to Keswick Crescent – 8 minutes.- Level
