Waipapa Loop Track

- Pureora Forest Park lies between Te Kuiti, Taumaranui and Lake Taupo access by SH 30 and SH 32. Pureora Forest Park is 81 km southwest of Rotorua along Highway 30 via Benneydale.
- Description
Located behind Pureora Forest Park Lodge. If the road gate is locked, it takes an extra 10 minutes to walk from the gate to the start of the walk.
The start of the track is not clear. Follow ‘L 19 – 23, Short L20 – 23’ to the right track. The loop walk starts through a low-level forest of lancewood and tanekaha before reaching a dense forest of totara, rimu tawa and podocarp. There are two short sidetracks. One takes you to a hollow totara the other gives you excellent views out towards Mt Pureora.
