Sandford Park Walkway

Location
Peacockes & Lewis Street, Glenview
Description
From Lewis Street descend steep steps to a bush-clad gully and on a short distance to a curved bridge and a fork in the walkway. The right fork follows the Mangakotukutuku stream through patches of exotic and regenerating native vegetation to the dip in Peacocks Road. You can also exit the right fork via a short footbridge over the Mangakotukutuku Stream and walkways that lead to Fitzroy and Waterford Streets. The left fork winds through gladed banks to the Sandford Park entranceway on Bader Street. The contour is rolling to steep. The surface is boardwalk, grass and gravel. Can be wet in winter.
