Tiwarawara Route – Pirongia Forest Park

- The Park is near Hamilton city, and has many access points.
- Description
From the end of Te Tahi Rd this route climbs steadily to Tiwarawara with good views to the south. Continue via Te Akeohikopiro and Hikikiwi peaks to Pahautea Hut and the summit.
There are picnic areas at the end of both Corcoran and Grey Rds and alongside Kaniwhaniwha Stream on Karamu Limeworks Loop Rd.
