Lake Ngaroto Walking Track

- A 10 minute drive from town on Bank Rd, off Paterangi Rd
- Description
The track is an all season’s walk as it is flat, all streams and ditches have bridges and fences have stiles. Two pa sites and the lake outlet are at the northern end of the car park where the track goes through dense Manuka.
The lake has a boat ramp, picnic facilities, a playground, toilets, and a boardwalk through a wetland and is popular for duck hunting and boating. Outboards are not permitted. Yachting, windsurfing and rowing are enjoyed, particularly in the summer months.
