The Brick Bay Sculpture Trail near Matakana showcases contemporary sculpture by established and emerging artists. Experience Sculpture in a remarkable landscape framed by towering native trees and majestic palms, abundant birdlife, and green pastures all overlooking the celebrated Brick Bay Vineyard.
Brick Bay Sculpture Trail is an easy 2km walk- suitable for most ages and abilities.The trail is manageable with off-road push chairs, although backpacks are recommended. Surfaces on the trail are grass, bark mulch, pebbles and wooden boardwalks. The trail is undulating terrain that winds through a valley, there are several sets of easily negotiated stairs and viewing benches are located at regular intervals along the trail. Approximately half of the trail is sheltered from the sun by the bush canopy and we have sun hats and umbrellas available to use. Children must be supervised by one adult per two children.
Please allow 1 hour to enjoy the trail. We ask for your co-operation in protecting our works of art, as well as the safety of our visitors by not touching or climbing on any sculptures. Please respect others enjoyment of this unique experience.
Trail Pass Prices:Adult $10, School and tertiary students $8, Children under five are free.
Bookings essential for groups of 8 or more people.Trail Passes include a Trail Map which lists the works on display.
Annual Passes $50 allow unlimited visits for a year and include a full catalogue of the works.
Food and refreshments available on site, picnics not permitted.
Dogs allowed on leads.
