The Joy of Giving.

We all walk for different reasons, such is the rich
tapestry of life that we are all unique.
I wax and wane between being highly motivated one week and generally lethagic the next and that doesn't necessarily only apply to walking.
Whilst some prefer the solitude of walking alone others enjoy the company and camaraderie, hence the popularity of walking events. There is nothing better than getting your daily fix of exercise and combining it with walking for a great cause.
And as we all know there are many great causes, at the moment all around the country people are doing the Relay For Life in memory of all the people who have died from cancer and celebrating with all those that have survived.
The Foundation for Youth Development are hosting their Big Walks throughout the country to raise money to support the wonderful programmes they have to help our youth.
I will be joining the local FYD crew at the main Mount Maunganui beach on the 31st March but before that on the 17th I am shaving my head to raise funds for the Child Cancer Foundation. Why you may ask, because I am blessed with good health and so are my family and giving is like walking...good for the soul.
