WINTER WALKING

Well-Winter is not too many sleeps away.....Winter is the time of year that will challenge us most in the regular physical activity area so we must find ways to beat the urge to become ‘bear’ like and hibernate away until Spring! If we can start or maintain a regular walking programme through Winter then we can do it anytime! So.....How?
Think about what’s good about Winter Walking;
The Air is invigorating....There are no mosquito’s....You can wear warm clothes that would otherwise make you look like the size of a house and its OK!!!!

Winter is the time to treat yourself to some yummy merino undershirts-warm sox –cosy trackies-new hat and gloves and go 4 it!!!!There is nothing like the feeling of satisfaction from a good brisk winters walk while you conjure up recipes of thick veggie soup with mulled wine!

If our great great grandmothers could walk miles and miles in long skirts......in rain-sleet-snow-just to get supplies ....then we can get out there and do what’s good for us !!!
