Great Barrier Wharf to Wharf, 15 October 2011

The Great Barrier Island Wharf to Wharf Marathon begins at Port FitzRoy wharf and finishes at Tryphena wharf. Participant will experience rugged native bush, kauri, nikau, manuka, fern and some of the most unspoilt native forest left in New Zealand.
The route takes runners, walkers and mountain bikers through mature bush, the main settlement areas and past some of the coastline Great Barrier Island is famous for.
