The World at the Moment

Posted on March 17, 2011 at 01:28 PM

There have been some terrible tragedies in the last few weeks or even months. The first earthquake in Chirstchurch in September followed by the Pike River Mine accident, the latest earthquake in Christchurch and now the massive devastation in Japan.
The world seems a scary place and whilst disasters are always alarming they are somewhat more sobering when on your back door step

We have seen the best of the "kiwi spirit". Everyday NZers doing whatever it takes to support all Cantabrians but this will be a marathon and not a sprint and I sincerely hope the energy and fervour shown at present will continue today, tomorrow and in the years ahead because that is what it will take.
On a more positive note running this website has felt like a marathon, the one where you hit the wall.

We apologise for the competitions being out dated, the silence from us in the Forums, in fact we beg your understanding in all areas. The reality is we had to keep doing our normal jobs to pay the bills and WW took the brunt of not having enough time or resource to give it the attention it requires.

But we now have an administrator by the name of Tanya who will be able to dedicate herslef to the many queries and requests we receive as well as updating the site on a regular basis. Additionally she will be able to give us the hurry up when we are slack.

Looking forward to a new way forward.
