Waitakere Dam Walk

- The walk begins on Scenic Drive, 7km north of the Piha Road/Scenic Drive intersection, or 1.5km past Mountain Road, at the large carpark on the left.
- Description
A lovely nature and history walk starting from the Cascade Kauri car park. Take the Auckland City Walk, Anderson, west Tunnel Mouth and Waitakere Tramline Tracks that lead to the Waitakere Dam. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way and return via Fenceline Track through some mature kauri forest.
The Waitakere Dam is one of the oldest water reservoirs in the Auckland area.- Distance
