Calling all Walkers

Ladies this is an impassioned plea for help !

I love logging on and catching up with the regulars on the Forum and it's great to see so many new faces. However I feel frustrated even embarassed when I note the number of women looking for Walking Buddies and there requests go unanswered.
The number 1 reason is not that anyone doesn't want to walk with you..heaven help me if I had the time and the energy I would join you all but in reality in terms of web traffic we are a very small site and therefore women from your regions don't know about www.wonderwalkers.co.nz. The internet world is a moving beast and to make this really hum we need large volumes of traffic and membership..easier said than done considering this is a kitchen table operation with a tight budget which means no billboards,tv ads but some magazine articles here and there. So in a nutshell we rely heavily on word and mouth.
You may also note the banner ads on the site and the e newsletters you receive promoting everything from banks to panty pads. That's because we are part of a large network called Flossie they have loads of female centred sites and we get a teeny wee bit of the budget which basically gives us enough dosh to send out the giveaways each month.
I don't mean to sound gloomy our intention from the beginning was to make meaning not money but in order to be successful we need to mobilise millions of women and then we can get more and better information on the website,more women will be successful in connecting with Walking Buddies and we might even be able to achieve our goals of our own WonderWalkers events.
So if you enjoy the site please tell your friends especially if you are out walking or at an event and ask them to join up..Free of course. If you have any good stories walking or otherwise we would love to hear from you and of course any suggestions on improving the site (that won't cost mega bucks because everyone charges like a wounded bull) are always welcome.
Now I need to hang out the washing.
