- North-west Auckland/Kaipara Harbour – Atuanui-Mt Auckland is 22km north of Kaukapakapa at Glorit, turn right up Kaipara Hills Rd, 3km to carpark and DOC sign.

- Allow 3 hours for walk in this 615ha native forest reserve. Great easy ridge track walk through native bush to lookout that gives views across Kaipara Harbour to North and South Head and across bush and rural views to tops of Bream Head, Hauturu, etc
