- The Mokoroa Stream Track leaves the Goldie Bush Walkway (starting at Constable Rd end) at the Mokoroa Stream crossing. You must first start the Goldie Bush Walkway
- Description
- For a longer, more challenging loop walk, the Mokoroa Stream Track leaves the Goldie Bush Walkway at the Mokoroa Stream crossing and follows the stream, crossing it a number of times, before exiting on the true left just below the Mokoroa Falls. The track climbs steeply to reach the Falls Track, where a new lookout platform offers views of the falls. Continue along the waterfall track and turn right at the junction with Goldie Bush Walkway to return to Constable Rd. A left turn at the junction will take you to the exit at Horseman Rd.· Challenging day or multi-day tramping/hiking· Track is mostly unformed with steep, rough or muddy sections· Suitable for people with good fitness. Moderate to high level backcountry skills and experience, including navigation and survival skills required· Track has markers, poles or rock cairns. Expect unbridged stream and river crossings · Tramping/hiking boots required
