Kitekite Track - Piha
- Location
- Take the road to Piha and at the bottom of the hill just before the bridge turn right into Glen Esk Road. The carpark is at the end of Glen Esk Road and the track begins to the right.
- Description
- An easy, level metalled track from a carpark at the end of Glen Esk Road follows Glen Esk stream. The track branching right ascends a steep spur, edges around the valley slopes (good views), and there are steps to the foot of Kitekite Falls. The track branching left crosses the stream and climbs steeply up a kauri covered spur with steps to the foot of the falls. Waterfall and stream walk with attractive native bush. Suitable for all the family. Pool below the falls is good for swimming.
