Description

Washpen Falls is a private walkway with unique and private facilities, with various interests along the track. Bird life, amazing flora & fornia, plus great hosts. Washpen Falls offers unique outdoor recreational facilities in a breathtaking natural setting in the midst of a working sheep cattle and deer farm.

About and hours drive from Christchurch, Washpen Falls is ideally located, not only is it situated near golf, water sports and the snow fields but is also a head start towards famous playgrounds of Queenstown, Wanaka and beyond.

The Adventure Walk: Walk the fascinating track (most of which is natural but partly boardwalk for your convenience) which takes you through an ancient volcanic canyon full of lush native bush and bird life, to the cliff top where one is rewarded by breathtaking views across the Canterbury Plains. On your descent you follow the babbling creek past ponds and beautiful waterfalls.
