Hunua Falls / Wairoa: Cossey Massey Loop
- Location
- To get to Hunua, head south on SH1 (Southern Motorway) and take the Papakura off-ramp. Turn left and follow Beach Road across Great South Road and along Settlement Road. Turn right by Edmund Hillary School into Hunua Road, which takes you to the Hunua Ranges and the Hunua Falls.
- Description
- Combine Cossey gorge track with the Massey track to create a rewarding loop walk. The track is metalled and benched but is steep in places and involves paddling or rock hopping across Cossey Creek. This walk offers long range views, native forest, sparkling water and giant kauri trees.
