Hapuka Estuary Walk

- Description
Hapuka Estuary is where you can get close to 800 year old rimu, kahikatea, kowhai, manuka and flax where the tui, bellbird and wood pigeon feed. At different times of the tide in the estuary you can see crabs, snails, whitebait and trout.
Panels interpret historic aspects of Open Bay Islands. There are views of Open Bay Islands Tumaka and Popotai viewed from the track.
