Levin - Hydrabad Wreck
- Location
- 7 km north of Levin. Drive along Waitarere Beach Road from SH1. From the Waitarere Settlement drive south along Rua Avenue to the intersection with Hydrabad Drive. Park here and head south along the beach.
- Description
- Walk from either Waitarere or Hokio Beach to the wreck of the Hydrabad. The Hydrabad was a square rigged sailing ship which ran aground during a severe storm in 1878.
