Lucys Gully

- From New Plymouth, follow Devon Street West south, continuing on coastal SH 45, 5km past Oakura. Turn off at the signposted access road.
- Description
Lucy’s Gully was home to local Maori identity Ruhia Matekai (Lucy Stevens) and a base for a radar station during WWII.
Discover this secluded picnic spot and native forest with gigantic Californian Redwood trees in a beautiful setting. There are several attractive picnic sites, and short walks available.
