Location
From New Plymouth, follow Devon Street West south, continuing on coastal SH 45, 5km past Oakura. Turn off at the signposted access road.
Description

Lucy’s Gully was home to local Maori identity Ruhia Matekai (Lucy Stevens) and a base for a radar station during WWII.

Discover this secluded picnic spot and native forest with gigantic Californian Redwood trees in a beautiful setting. There are several attractive picnic sites, and short walks available.
