Description

Among Hawkes Bay's most pleasant walking areas, Mahora features the tree-ringed Cornwell Park with its variety of attractions. While creating an English village green environment, the park also includes the Osmanthus Chinese Garden with its large pond popular with ducks and spanned by bridges. It is among the city's favourite picnic spots.

The park also has a variety of beautiful gardens and mature trees, a hothouse crammed with colourfil exotics, a fernery and aviary. It is also headquarters of the Cornwell Cricket Club.
