White Pine Bush Scenic Reserve Short Loop
- Location
- 29km north of Napier on SH2. The track starts just over the first footbridge. There is plenty of parking, picnic shelter and toilets.
- Description
- Follow the track in an anticlockwise loop using the interpretive panels. The loop track is tarsealed and 650 metres in length. There is a large picnic area at the junction with the long loop. The oldest tree in the reserve is nearly 600 years old and some of the kahikatea in the forest are up to 1.8 metres in diameter. This 19 hectare reserve was established in 1923.
