Waikouaiti Beach

- Drive on SH1 to Waikouaiti. Take the third road on the right after entering the town, Beach Road. Drive over the railway lines and then turn left at Matanaka Drive. Drive to the end of the road to the car park that overlooks the lagoon.
- Description
- Waikouaiti Beach is approximately 4km long and the picturesque bay curves between the township and Karitane. Local race horse trainers train their horses along the beach at low tide most days. This is a great beach for walking or biking along at low tide. It is also a popular diving and surfing beach.
