Bullock Track – Upper Pomahaka River

Location

Take SH 8 north from Roxburgh for 2.5km to the signposted entrance on the western side of the highway. The walk follows along an old packtrack.

Description

Start walking on a gravel road to the foot of the Old Man Range. Climb steeply up a tussock spur to the 900m summit. Superb views to Lammerlaw, Lammermoor ranges and over the Teviot Valley.

4-5 hrs return, 6-8 hrs to Upper Pomahaka River.
