Shek Harn Historic Reserve – Fraser Dam

Location

Cross the Alexandra Bridge turning right into Earnscleugh Road. After 5km turn left into Blackmans Valley Road and go to the Fraser Dam Road. Follow this for 9km turning left onto a vehicle track, about 1.5km from the dam. Follow this track till you reach the DOC information sign that marks the start of the walk.

Description

This track first follows recently made boulder flats before following an old goldmining water race to rougher boulder flats. Along the track you will pass stone hut ruins, stone tailings, wing dams and rock shelters. Return the way you came.

1-2 hours return.
