Parkside Garden was created to display ornate Oamaru Limestone soured from the nearby quarry. In 1992 the Wilson family decided to turn their pony field into a Garden Centre and operated it seven days a week for eight years. The garden centre was run by Linda who also offered a Garden Design Service.
The garden features trees, shrubs and flowers, water features, garden sculptures, grassed walkways and, beautiful creamy Oamaru stone, in both its natural state and finely finished form. Parkside Stone and Garden is an oasis among surrounding farmlands and rugged hills on the northern edge of Weston township. Visitors are welcome to bring lunch or morning or afternoon tea and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
