The trail begins at the i-Site Information Centre at 1 Thames Street. More information on the life and works of Janet Frame is contained at the Oamaru Public Library and at Janet Frame House.
Janet Frame House at 56 Eden Street has been restored and is open to the public.
- Description
- The Janet Frame Walking Trail is a 90 minute walk around central Oamaru featuring about a dozen sites of personal importance to Janet Frame as well as sites that feature in many of her books including Owls Do Cry, The Envoy from the Mirror City, Faces in the Water and To the Is-land.
