Leith Saddle Track
- Location
- The car park is by SH1 at the crest of the Leith Saddle on Dunedin's Northern Motorway. The track start is 50 metres along the Waitati Valley Road.
- Description
At first the track climbs steeply through the thick, native cloud forest. On reaching the boardwalk the gradient eases and winds steadily upwards to come out onto open tussock on Swampy Spur for panoramic views of the city and beyond. After that it’s another steady climb to the vehicle track that traverses Swampy Summit
This track links with others in the Silver Peaks and Dunedin area, including the Swampy Ridge Track and even the Flagstaff-Pineapple Track.
