- Southern end of Wainui Beach. 7km from Gisborne city centre
- Description
Walk over sand and rocks to the old lighthouse at the tip of Tuaheni Point. Start from anywhere on southern Wainui Beach. Best at low tide when reef is exposed. Good walking shoes and sure feet needed. Cool off with a swim in summer. The cliffs are eroding constantly so care is needed.
A reasonably difficult walk over sandy beach, then rocks and exposed reef.
