Wainui-Makorori Headland

Wainui-Makorori Headland. SH35 Wainui Beach 9km from Gisborne city centre.
The track starts at either the bottom of the hill at Wainui Beach or on top of the hill, at an unsigned entrance through a gate, about 200m past the Okitu Bush entrance.
- Description
This walk is about 1km long and takes you up and
along the headland offering spectacular views of Makorori Beach and across Wainui Beach to Tuaheni Point, Young Nick’s Head and Mahia Peninsula. Seats and tables are provided to take a break. The track starts at either the bottom of the hill at Wainui Beach or on top of the hill, at an unsigned entrance through a gate, about 200m past the Okitu Bush entrance.- Distance
