This is a moderate tramp from Tarawera Falls, through the natural scenery and dense native bush following natural and unusual water courses through lake Tarawera outlets.
Following the lake edge around and going inland through bush covered hills and rock canyons to Lake Okataina will take you an estimated eight hours. You will need a full day to complete this.
