Marsden Valley Cemetery

- Situated in the Marsden Valley, behind Stoke, this is the main cemetery in Nelson city. It caters for burials and has a Memorial Walk of plaques for those who have been cremated.
- Description
The Marsden Valley Cemetery has well laid out pathways suitable for baby buggies. At the head of the valley a seat gives you views up the valley to farmland. Return down the same roadway with views over Monaco to Rabbit Island. On the Western side of the valley past the RSA section is an interpretive panel with a map of this area and commemorative plaques mark the trees planted by the services on the 50th anniversary of the end of WW2.
