Ngarua Caves is one of those places we pass in our travels and remark we must stop there one day. It is an easy walk along wide pathways with many different tour group options to choose from.
The high open caves are amazing with stalactites hanging from the ceiling, in some cases like chandeliers adorning a ballroom. The acoustics in the cathedral cave are also amazing.
The only hard part is climbing the ladder out into the sunshine.
