Paddys Knob

Start the walk from the Tahunanui Beach car park on Rocks Road.

Description

Paddy’s Knob is a short walk with a steep track. There are Lookout decks with information panels explaining the landmarks of the area. Views of Tahunanui Beach and out to Separation Point in the Tasman Bay. There is also the Lions Playground in Tahunanui Drive.

Cross over Rocks Road and walk up Bisley Avenue. Turn right into Champion Terrace – near the end turn left up the pedestrian track to Paddy's Knob. Coming back from Paddy's Knob turn right into Stansell Avenue (which becomes Tosswill Road) and continue along to Tamaki Street. Turn right into Tamaki Street and take the steps down to Tahunanui Drive. If you would prefer a walk that is a little less steep follow Toswill Road round to the bottom. Turn right into Tahananui Drive and walk back along to the Playground and carpark.
