This walk starts from Braeburn Road.

Description

This park protects 102,000 hectares of the northern most Southern Alps. The park offers tranquil beech forest, craggy mountains, clear streams and lakes both big and small.

From Braeburn Road, follow this well-graded track through forest rich in birdlife to a picturesque waterfall. See the kotukutuku, the world’s largest tree fuschia, unique to New Zealand.
