Rapaki Track

- The track begins at the Rapaki Road end car park off Centaurus Road.
- Description
Rapaki Track is an old Maori trail, now legally a road popular with mountain bikers and trail bikers. It is a gentle walk from Murray Aynsley through farmland to the Summit Road at Witch Hill Scenic Reserve. Just before the Summit Road is a memorial, a tall white pole for a 10 yr old child who died in an 1883 snowstorm. The other memorial pole is just off the side of Mt Vernon, north of the road.
The track finishes opposite the Rapaki Rock car park on the Summit Road.
