Toilets available at Travis Wetland and Horseshoe Lake.
Start the walk from the main car park at the Travis Wetland (off Beach Road). Turn left walking past the information kiosk to the track junction. Keep to the track crossing the wetland to the footbridge over Angelas Stream.
Turn left following the sealed path to Travis Road. Turn left again continuing on this path to the pedestrian island leading to Corsers Stream. Follow the track alongside the stream crossing over a footbridge to Brooker Avenue.
The streamside track crosses back to the other side through Brooker Reserve to the New Brighton Road. Cross to a track leading into Amelia Rogers Reserve following alongside the Avon River.
The track now passes a river jetty rejoining New Brighton Road and reaching the junction with Bassett Street. Cross and continue walking along the riverside trail beside the New Brighton Road to the Horseshoe Lake track signpost. There is a short road leading to the shelter and track.
From here a bush track goes around the Horseshoe Lake right to the footbridge, toilets and car park. Continue along the outer lake edge of the lake crossing into Lakewood Drive.
Lakewood Drive swings across a side-creek that drains into Horseshoe Lake and joins into Burwood Road. Turn left to cross Elizabeth Drive and right across Burwood Road.
Walk up Burwood Road and turn into Clarevale Street to the park and playground. From here you pick up the Travis Wetland perimeter track. Turn left and follow this track along boardwalks and past the bird observation tower. The track offers excellent views as it leaves the woodland area and goes right around beside Mairehau Road. There are seats here and then the perimeter track follows the Anne Flanagan Walkway back to the main car park at Beach Road.
