Tarawera Falls Track
- Location
- Track runs between the Waterfall Road car park and the Outlet. From Whakatane turn off the River Road for about 1 km, then turn down Waterhouse street, go to T junction.
- Description
Short walk 700 meters – 20 minutes one way
Two to three hours return to the swimming hole.Can be accessed from the Tarawera outlet or from Kawerau township. Access permit is required and must be used on the day of purchase. Permits available from the Kawerau Information Centre.
