Governors Bay & Sage Reserve

- Located 1km south of the Governors Bay wharf, Governors Bay may be reached from Christchurch via Dyers Pass Road, the Sign of the Takahe, and the Sign of the Kiwi.
- Description
If time permits take the walk along the foreshore to Allandale approx. 3 km from the Governors Bay jetty. Views can be enjoyed along the coast. At low tide look for shags, waders and gulls on the estuary mud flats. Volcanic rock formations can be seen halfway along the road.
The Sage Reserve once known as the Sage Arboretum is towards the end of Living Springs Road and features a kanuka forest with a 15 min loop track.
