- Description
Highly recommended.
Easily accessible from Lyttelton township – leads to
military installations at the top. Links easily to Crater Rim walkway. The trail zig-zags under rocky bluff reaching the summit road north of Mount Cavendish and the Gondola. Wonderful views. The track follows some of the original track that Major Hornbrook originally made.Strong sneakers/boots and warm clothing.
Moderate hill climb – can be wet.
