Walkway passes through the area known as Te Arikiroa.
It is on the most southern shores of Sulphur Bay, where centuries ago, a battle raged here on the sandy beach front.
It was also where the first aeroplane to visit Rotorua landed in April 1922. It was forced to land there after engine failure.- Duration
