Bridle Path - Mt Cavendish Bluffs Circuit
- Location
- From the Bridle Path car park on the Summit Road, take the Crater Rim Walkway east in the direction of the gondola. After about ten minutes, continue past the junction with the Mt Cavendish Bluffs Track.
- Description
- Follow the Crater Rim Walkway over Mt Cavendish, passing the gondola, and descend to the car park at Major Hornbrook Saddle. Return via the Mt Cavendish Bluffs Track, which descends under bluffs on the Lyttelton side of Mt Cavendish before rejoining the Crater Rim Walkway. This circuit can also be done from the Major Hornbrook Saddle car park.
