Okareka Walkway
- Location
- South east of Rotorua on Lake Okareka Loop Road off Tarawera Road. The walk starts at Acacia Road and goes to the Okareka Outlet.
- Description
The walk features farmland, beach, lake and wetland scenery, expansive views and wildlife.
It is part of an ongoing re-vegetaion project aimed at improving lake water quality and re-establishing wildlife habitats. The 500m boardwalk provides assisted wheelchair access to the wetland area.
