Location

North of Rotorua, via the Tauranga Direct Road.
Kaharoa Road and Kapukapu Road.

Description

Kokako Track also known as the Hollow Track meanders its way down through some beautiful forest to Onaia Stream. This is a tranquil and secluded spot, ideal for a picnic or breakfast stop after listening to the dawn chorus!

The return journey is back along the same track.

There is a public shelter at the carpark with some interpretation panels on the area and its kokako.
