Marine Gardens

- Matatua Road at the western end of Raumati Road, Raumati Beach.
- Description
This is one of the best small family garden parks with sealed walkways that meander through a variety of flowerbeds with roses, geraniums and other displays.
A concrete paddling pool and playground keeps the children occupied while adults can relax on the park benches. A miniature railway track also winds its way through the gardens, going through a tunnel and over a small bridge. It operates on Sundays from 1-4pm, weather permitting.
There is plenty of space for a picnic or make use of one of the many picnic tables scattered around the park.
Being closely located to Raumati Beach means that visitors can take a break from the sun and surf and restreat under the shade of the trees.
