Keith George Memorial Park

Location
Keith George Memorial Park is situated by the Silverstream Bridge, car parking off River Road at start of walk.
Description

Tracks lead up to a mixture of Beech and Tawa Forest – a remnant of the original vegetation of the Hutt Valley. Up to four different walks can be taken from River Road carpark, ranging in times from under an hour to up to four hours.

Loop Track
The lower loop track is a benched walk through the lower parts of the park. Travelling south, from the carpark, to the original entrance to the park, the track then travels up hill, via steps, before it loops back onto itself. Should take under an hour for most trampers.

Trig & North Ridge Loop
Walkers can walk up either of these tracks across the Pylon Track and back down the other track. Should take most trampers 2.5 hours.

Moonshine / SH58 Walk
Once reached, via either the Trig or North Ridge Track the Pylon Track can be walked either through to SH58 or Moonshine Road. Walking through to Moonshine Bridge should take most trampers four hours.
