Bus Barn Track
- Location
Exit SH2 at Petone and follow the Esplanade to Eastbourne (via Waione St, Seaview Rd and Days Bay). The Muritai Park entrance is between numbers 259 and 261 on Muritai Rd, Eastbourne.
The track starts at the southern end of Muritai and is signposted from the bus shelter.- Description
- The track is narrow and can be slippery when wet. The track winds up the hill over low gorse reaching a beech forest at the top of the ridge. Views can be seen of Wellington Harbour. The track then comes to the junction with the Kowhai Street Track. Descend down to Butterfly Creek picnic area.
