Waterfront Walk

- This walk begins at the Post Office Square opposite Queens Wharf.
- Description
This walk takes you along the waterfront to Te Papa, taking in many of the buildings used in early Wellington wharfing. Monuments to special events in Wellington are marked out along the way as you head towards Civic Square.
Civic Square is home to the City Library, City Gallery, Wellington i-SITE Visitor Centre and the Town Hall Complex. Walk back over the bridge past the Boatshed to Te Papa.
To add to the walk, stroll past Te Papa to Waitangi Park, past Port Nicholson Marina, and onto Oriental Parade, where you will enjoy one of New Zealand's finest streetscapes.
Finish your walk with a coffee at one of the great local cafes while you enjoy the views across the water to the city.
