Skyline Walkway

You can start at the south end – Karori and finish in Johnsonville or you can do the walk in reverse.
The southern start of the walk, from Karori, is from the summit on Makara Road. On the big bend to your right you will see a sheltered structure indicating the start of the walkway. The northern end of the Skyline Walkway will bring you out on the Old Coach Road Track on Carmichael Street in Johnsonville,
Follow the orange markers along the course.
- Description
From Makara Hill summit this walk follows the ridge of the Outer Green Belt, passing the west side of Johnson's Hill and then onto Mt Kau Kau before ending in Johnsonville at the Old Coach Road track.
Along the way you can enjoy magnificient views of Wellington, Porirua, Petone, Eastbourne, the South Island and beyond!
